This private lakeside residence is structured through a deliberate architectural composition, where openings and voids are carefully positioned to shape both privacy and outlook. The house shields itself from the street and neighbouring properties while opening generously towards the surrounding forest and lake, allowing nature to unfold from an elevated perspective.
The project was developed as an integrated process encompassing architecture, interior architecture, lighting and landscape design. The placement and proportion of openings define the spatial experience, framing selected views while maintaining a sense of protection and enclosure.
Material choices reinforce this clarity. A restrained and timeless palette — including oak and natural finishes — establishes warmth and continuity without excess. Interior and exterior detailing follow the same disciplined approach, resulting in a residence that feels composed, grounded and enduring.
Siiri designed a cohesive architectural concept where the building’s form, interior design, and orientation respond naturally to the surrounding environment. Equally important, she was able to deeply understand the client’s life situation and role as a homeowner, translating this insight into thoughtfully planned spaces and functionalities. We are extremely pleased with the final result — a home in which the interior, exterior architecture, and surrounding landscape work seamlessly together, framing the views and respecting the character of the site.
