I founded MA–AI to practice architecture the way I believe it should be done — with rigour, spatial intelligence, and genuine care for the people who will live and work in the environments we create.
My background spans Finland, the United Kingdom, and Italy. Working across these contexts has shaped how I approach every project: with Nordic precision in material and construction, and an international perspective that comes from years of research, travel, and cross-cultural practice.
I engage each project personally — from the first spatial conversation to the moment of realisation. Clients work directly with me throughout.
MA–AI is an architecture and development studio operating across urban, architectural, and interior scales. We engage projects from early spatial definition through to realised environments — integrating architecture, landscape, and long-term development thinking into a unified framework.
The studio works across residential, civic, hospitality, and urban development contexts. Every project begins with a clear spatial direction: structure, movement, and intent defined before resolution begins.
MA–AI is a Japanese word meaning interval — the dynamic relationship between space, time, and elements.
MA— the space between: not absence, but an active possibility.
AI— the harmony, the coherent relationship between elements, and the structure that gives each part its purpose within the whole.
MA-AI is the idea at the core of how we design — environments where space and elements form a harmonious whole.
